Canisbay Lake - Campsite #8. The front of this campsite has a beach landing, though it's followed with an abrupt and steep 10ft climb to the main campsite. Tucked away on the side is a more gradual incline which would be the ideal path to haul your gear. The main campsite area is large and spacious, yet still very sheltered and protected.

Best Time To Visit Canisbay Lake Campground. May/June is the easiest time to get a reservation but the weather can be hit or miss.The best time for summer camping is July/August. This is when you'll get the most reliable temperatures. You can camp at Canisbay Lake until Thanksgiving. With so many stunning forest hikes, this is a great spot to.

The front of the campsite has a beach landing… ok, that part isn't unique. But inside of the campsite has a very interesting vibe. There are downed and uprooted trees everywhere.

Good sized private sites with lots of trees. Our site (141) was level and easy to back in and set up. We were there in late September and the Algonquin Fall colours display was in full effect, beautiful scenery! We camped at Algonquin Provincial Park - Canisbay Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

My wife and I just returned last weekend from Canisbay Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park. We like our privacy and do our homework when booking a site on line with Ontario Parks. We decided on Canisbay Lake Campground 3, Site# 118. It's a non-electric site. Sites 115-118 are very private, and are surrounded by a good cover of trees, blocking.

Park Store. The Portage Store, located west of Canisbay Campground at km 14, sells parks souvenirs and outfitting supplies. It has an eat-in restaurant. The Two Rivers Store located east of Canisbay Campground at km 31 sells basic groceries and has a snack bar. Rentals. Canoes may be rented in the park from the Portage Store or Opeongo Store.
